The Clubhouse at Shandaken Inn is now hiring for AM and PM Chef de Partiepositions! Pay: $25-27 per hour Job Type:Full-Time Benefits: $500 sign-on bonus, referral program, relocation assistance, on-premise discounts and facility access. We are seeking dedicated food enthusiastic line cook who enjoys creativity and are passionate about culinary and willing to growing with our team. Nestled in the heart of the Catskills, our roughly 80-seat restaurant rest within our 15-bedroom boutique hotel where we provide dinner service Wednesday thru Sunday from 4-10 PM to the public. Additionally, our culinary team operates daily culinary programing for hotel guest, such as; breakfast, lunch, and special events. We’re passionately focused on creating seasonally sustainable cuisine crafted from our region’s most notable artisans, purveyors, and farmers. We pride ourselves on quality service, integrity, passion, and teamwork. Our property welcomes locals and travelers to enjoy our homey indoor and outdoor spaces where guest gather with friends and family around our tables, in our lounge areas, around our fires, or meadows playing yard games. To learn more, please visit our website at www.shandakeninn.com Responsibilities Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner Follow recipes and presentation specifications Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently Maintain a clean working station while adhering to health and safety standards Assist with the cleaning and organization of kitchen and equipment Restock items as needed throughout the shift Adhere to all food hygiene and safety standards In the absence of the Executive Chef/Sous Chef, the Chef de Partie is responsible for the supervision and direction of the line and kitchen staff Experience/ Requirements Proven cooking experience, including experience as a restaurant cook Must have grill experience Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks Familiar with the industry's best practices Ability to work and collaborate with servers, bar and kitchen staff Excellent communication skills Detail-oriented, organized and thrives under pressure Hiring for immediate hire.
